Stefan Ohlsson: Ultrahuset Special Edition

Print "Huset" nr 3/10 and nr 4/10 ”Ultrahuset” is a book about the legendary punk and alternative rock venue in Haninge outside Stockholm. About 1000 bands – unknown, famous and infamous – played there during the 1980's. Not only Swedish acts but among others also Black Flag featuring Henry Rollins (pictured in the book) and Scream featuring Dave Grohl. The photographs were made by Stefan Ohlsson (1952-2018) when a project to document his former school did not work out and he instead started to hang out with people playing in a band that ended up having a gig at Ultrahuset. He found the house, it's visitors and the bands much more interesting and created a body of work that has now been compiled into a both nostalgic and unique book about this energetic decade in general, and Ultrahuset in particular.
