Swedish photographer Lennart Durehed's archived negatives from 1970's New York are brought back and printed in this book, along with newly written texts on the photographer and his motifs, by author Staffan Bengtsson.
From the publisher:
Half a century has passed since Lennart Durehed took his pictures of New York. The negatives ended up in the archive. Now we have picked presented them again, released on the light. The tired facades. The big the cars. The people who play music on a Sunday in Central park or basking in the sun at Coney Island... An iconic world like the air seemed to have passed out but rose from the ashes. Durehed's historical documentation from the "city that never sleeps" is now published in the book New York 1974 - almost to the day 50 years later.
--- Swedish:
Negativen hamnade i arkivet.
