    Description

    Article no.: 9789163989971

Exhibition catalogue of the show curated by the Swedish studio Claesson Koivisto Rune in collaboration with the auction house Jackson Design in February—March, 2025.

The exhibition Aiiro draws inspiration from a striking blue carpet by Astrid Sampe, which became both the starting point and guiding principle for the exhibition. Claesson Koivisto Rune selected objects from Jacksons collection created by renowned designers—pieces that, while crafted by familiar names, are perhaps lesser known or unexpected in their designs. The result is an exhibition that invites visitors to delve deeper into the world of iconic architects and designers, uncovering and celebrating their stories and artistry.

Aiiro is a Japanese term that in English translates to indigo – a darker shade of blue that is one of the seven defined colours in the rainbow. In Japan, aiiro is often used in the context of crafts, such as textiles.
