Ulla Forsell is one of the first glass artists to open her own glass studio, and she did so right in the heart of Stockholm. She is still active there today, now with 50 years of dedicated work with glass behind her—ranging from beautiful everyday items to artistic objects. Forsell has exhibited around the world in galleries and museums where works by significant artists are typically shown.

In this volume, illustrated with images of the glassblowing craft itself and the many resulting works, the reader gets a clear view of the daily toil involving a glowing furnace and the skillful handling of tools. The book’s main author is Petter Eklund, an experienced and knowledgeable writer on art and crafts. He has written several books, most recently about furniture designer Åke Axelsson. Ulla Forsell contributes a text of her own, and the foreword is written by Micael Ernstell, curator at the Nationalmuseum.

Ulla Forsell medverkar själv med en text. Förordet skrivs av intendenten på Nationalmuseum, Micael Ernstell.
