The drawings are all made with charcoal on paper, and towels. They vary in their expression from abstract to figurative. The book can be seen as a journal from a state beyond time. A state that moves between heaven and hell, where chaos meets ecstasy and darkness is mixed with light. --Swedish: “Blod som skuggor i vatten” presenterar 72 av de 150 teckningar som Ingvild Hovland Kaldal gjorde 2013, när hon behandlades för en postpartumpsykos (förlossningspsykos). Teckningarna gjordes under de två månader Kaldal var inlagd vid Sankt Lars psykiatriska sjukhus i Lund och är ritade med kol på papper och handdukar. De varierar i sitt uttryck från abstrakt till figurativt. Boken kan ses som en journal från ett tillstånd bortom tiden. Ett tillstånd som rör sig mellan himmel och helvete, där kaos möter extas och mörker blandas med ljus.
