Anne Thulin: Still; And More [signed]

Language, space and perception are central themes in Anne Thulin's art. “Still; And More” contains work by Anne Thulin from the 1990s with a central focus on her production from the past 10 years. Beautifully designed by Patric Leo, the book also provides a unique dialogue between the artist's work and text contributions by a diverse group of authors. The book showcases, among other things, Thulin's many works with words, hidden or exposed, as in her various newspaper works or works with poetic texts, where the words are given a new context and dimension. Anne Thulin further developed this in her performance “Det är det“ (“It is it”) at Dramaten in 2018. The text was based on Inger Christensen's poem "Det" (“It”), and here the words moved into an expanding stage room with the help of a talking chorus. The sculptural presence in the room is always central to Thulin's work, not least with the different versions of the piece "Double Dribble," which is on permanent display at Wanås Art and Skissernas Museum in Lund. The piece has also been shown in New York, Washington DC, Paris, and Bad Homburg in Germany. “At the point that is both the beginning and the end of a breath, where the movement has stopped, the space has collapsed, a collapse that is essential to a new full breath.
