A book about the Swedish artist Anders Kappel's work from the early 90's to today.

The interest in art's ability to reach a receiver has characterized Anders Kappel's work from the start. He started exhibiting long before he graduated from the Academy of Arts in Stockholm in 1987. Rather than let his work mature in the closed sphere of the studio, he wanted to see how it interacted with the audience. For Kappel, it has never been a matter of one-way communication. Regardless of how obvious a work may appear in its apparent simplicity, it is based on an awareness that its meaning is created in the encounter with the viewer. At leisure, he can include logos, brands and play with the language of popular culture and graphic design. Although you barely have time to touch the satisfaction that the recognition gives, before he quietly but effectively undermines its impact. Swedish...
